Jennifer Lopez opened up about the “emotional transition” of merging families with husband Ben Affleck on Monday.

While appearing on TODAY to promote her new film Shotgun Wedding, the 53-year-old megastar gave a glimpse into the process of reconciling her 14-year-old twins, Emme and Max, with Affleck’s three teens: Violet, 17, Seraphina , 14, and Samuel, 10.

Lopez — who also called her 50-year-old Oscar winner “dreamy” and “a sweetheart” — went on to state that 2022 was “a phenomenal year” for their A-list brood.

Sitting next to her Shotgun Wedding co-star Josh Duhamel, 50, the Jenny from the Block singer spoke about the process of integrating five teens under one roof.

‘We moved in together. The kids moved in together,” Lopez explained. “It’s been kind of an emotional transition, but at the same time all your dreams come true.”

Lopez shares her twins with her ex-husband, Marc Anthony, 54, while Affleck shares his three children with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner, 50.

The couple’s fairytale union was cemented six months ago when they finally tied the knot in July — nearly two decades after their first engagement ended in a tabloid feast.

An Affleck love fest ensued, with Josh calling the Gone Girl star a “dream boat” and praising his talent before Jennifer baptized her husband with the title “sweetheart.”

But the Marry Me star’s appearance on Today wasn’t the first time she’s spoken out about married life with Affleck.

The Wedding Planner star went on to say, “What I hope to cultivate with our family is that his kids have a new ally in me and my kids have a new ally in him, someone who really loves and cares about them but a different perspective and help me see things I can’t see with my kids because I’m so emotionally stuck.”
