The Jensten Group, the London-based independent insurance brokerage firm, has completed the acquisition of Origin UW Ltd. completed, subject to regulatory approval.

Origin UW is a boutique managing general agent providing commercial insurance solutions for SMEs and professionals. Origin specializes in writing cases for clients with sales up to £50 million ($61.1 million). The company says it has one of the broadest definitions of SMEs on the market, with a willingness to consider 95% of businesses in the UK.

Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.

For the foreseeable future, Origin UW will continue to operate as a standalone brand within Jensten’s wholesale division. All members of the team, including general manager Dawn Henderson, will remain with the group.

Jensten said this acquisition continues its strategy of acquiring high-quality, entrepreneurial companies with significant growth potential and leadership teams that put customers first.
