Joburg’s Killarney shopping center evacuated after bomb threat

Johannesburg – The Killarney shopping center was evacuated on Saturday after center management received a bomb threat.

In a brief statement, the centre’s management said police were at the mall to investigate the case.

In a brief statement, the mall said: “We can confirm that there was a bomb threat at the Killarney mall.

“We are following all security protocols and have evacuated the mall. Police and the Bomb Squad have been contacted and are investigating the case.

“The safety of our buyers, tenants and mall staff is of the utmost importance to us. The mall will reopen when we have been advised that it is safe to do so, ”mall management said.

On social media, some videos have posted videos showing people being evacuated from the building on a wet morning in Joburg.

The evacuees appeared calm and in a good mood, as shown in the video below.

Police were still at the scene to investigate the case.
