Kate Ritchie Returns To Nova FM’s Drive Show TODAY After Her Drunk And Rumors She Was Replaced By Ricki-Lee Coulter

Kate Ritchie will remain with Nova FM – despite reports of her possible departure after a drink-driving accident – and will return to the studio Monday afternoon with co-hosts Tim Blackwell and Joel Creasey.

The 44-year-old, a third of the popular Kate, Tim & Joel drive show, posted a photo on Instagram on Saturday of the three presenters in the back of a car on their way to work.

“Back today with the gang on set…” she wrote in the caption.

Joel, 32, commented under the post: “She’s back, honey! I love you and can’t wait to chat with you.’

He also posted on his Instagram Stories: ‘Our captain will be back tomorrow.’

Despite industry murmurs, Kate could be replaced by Ricki-Lee Coulter following her drink-driving charge, a network spokesperson confirmed that was not the case.

They assured that they “have no plans for changes to the Kate, Tim & Joel drive show or Kate’s role within the show,” calling her a “talented announcer and respected member” of the team.

Kate overstepped the limit after being stopped by police in her blue Subaru station wagon for a random breath test on Aug. 22.

She was immediately arrested and taken to the Maroubra Police Station, where she underwent a secondary breath analysis that yielded a positive reading of 0.06, just a shadow above the legal limit of 0.05.

Kate was fined $600 on the spot and banned from driving for three months.

She has since apologized for her actions, saying she made a “bad decision.”

“Recently I did a random breath test. Although it was a low level, the test came back positive,” she wrote on Instagram.

“I made a bad decision and I no doubt understand the gravity of my actions. I am really sorry.’

The former child star on Home and Away was stopped by police at 2:45 pm on Heffron Rd in Pagewood on the day of the incident for a random breath test.

A police spokesman told the Daily Mail Australia: ‘She was given a notice of infringement for the offense of driving with a prescribed low alcohol concentration and issued a notice of suspension of the license.’
