Kate has been doing the rounds to promote her latest movie Avatar 2, and recently said she was thrilled to meet Titanic director James Cameron – after previously saying she wouldn’t be working with him again due to his “bad mood’.

The actress starred in the iconic romantic movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio in 1997 and is now starring in his new movie Avatar: The Way of Water, which will be released this Friday.

But in an interview with the Los Angeles Times published in line with the release of Titanic, Kate called James, 68, “a really tough nut to crack,” adding, “There were times when I was genuinely afraid of him. ‘

While Kate said she “come to understand him” and “on a few occasions… felt he was someone I could take a country walk with and enjoy it,” she told The Guardian two years later: “He has a mood like you wouldn’t believe it.

“You’d have to pay me a lot of money to work with Jim again.”

On Friday’s upcoming episode of The Graham Norton Show about why she changed her mind about working with him again, she said: ‘It’s been almost 27 years since Titanic and I were very young.

“Looking back, so much is twisted. Jim is a great man and all the good things I’ve ever said about him have been left out, so it’s nice to be able to say how extraordinary he is and know that people will listen this time.

“How he creates these stories is just fascinating and he creates a work environment that is so fun, really collaborative and super experimental.

“It’s great to be a part of it and I walked away thinking, ‘I could do that again, and again, and again.’

She added to the new film, “I’ve seen it now and it’s amazing – it’s completely extraordinary.”

Revealing her ability to hold her breath for a barely believable seven minutes for the film’s underwater shots, she says, “It’s a sport and I trained every day for three weeks.”

“It was an extraordinary experience and I loved it and got really good at it. I am so proud that I was brave enough to learn something new when I was forty. As a woman, it made me feel so good and it made me feel very powerful.”

The trailer for Avatar: The Way of Water has been released just a month before the movie’s December 16 release.

The trailer opens with members of the Na’vi riding on the backs of ikrans, flying pterodactyl-like creatures that carry them over a beautiful waterfall.

Sam Worthington’s Jake Sully and Zoe Saldaña’s Neytiri take their kids to another tribe in search of a safe haven as huge mechanical suits, operated by humans, trample through a forest.
