The pulp and paper workers’ union in Kawerau will consider a wage offer from the factory owner.
Essity made the offer after the Employment Relations Authority facilitated negotiations for several days.
Union secretary Tane Phillips said his members would discuss the deal tomorrow morning.
Since 9 August, 145 workers have been locked out without pay.
The Swedish company hopes to resume production at the factory on Thursday.
It has withdrawn all legal claims against the union.
