“My name is Loreal Chanel,” she revealed. “I’m Keke Palmer’s older sister. She is an actress, a singer, a millennial diva. She’s my biggest fan, just as much as I am her biggest fan.”

The two sisters have been close all their lives. LC even revealed that she was the driving force behind her famous sister’s stage name.

“My parents told me they were pregnant and I said, ‘Can we name the baby Keke?'” LC explained. ‘And my mother said, ‘That’s not a real name.’ And so they gave her the middle name Keyana so we could call her Keke. And so she’s been Keke all her life.”

Keke’s real first name is Lauren. In a recent interview in glamour magazine, Keke said, “I’d rather not go see Keke instead of Lauren.”

“The only people who called me Keke were people in my family,” she explained. “One day, at that moment, my manager heard my mom call me Keke because I wasn’t listening… He said, ‘That should be your stage name.'”
