KL Rahul-Athiya Shetty wedding: From no phone policy to limited guests – here’s what we know so far


Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty and famous Indian cricketer KL Rahul are reportedly set to tie the knot on January 23, 2022. However, rumors are circulating about the strict policy that guests must adhere to during the couple’s wedding.

According to reports, the couple’s Mehndi ceremony will take place on January 22, 2023 at Suniel Shetty’s luxurious residence in Mumbai. The next day, the couple will officially tie the knot at Shetty’s lavish bungalow in Khandala. The intimate event will be attended by a total of 200 guests, with 100 guests from Athiya’s side and 100 guests from KL Rahul’s side.

The reports further claim that guests attending the event are not allowed to share photos or videos from the occasion. In addition, their mobile phones are confiscated during the ceremony. Once the marriage is complete, the newlyweds will hold a lavish reception for their friends in Mumbai.

A few days ago, famous photographer Varinder Chawla took pictures of KL Rahul’s apartment building, which was decorated with vibrant lights. While both families have been tight-lipped about the wedding ceremony, an official announcement has yet to be made.

According to the The Bharat Express News report, Athiya’s parents – Suniel and Maya Shetty, brother-actor Ahan Shetty and her friends are expected to perform at her sangee.

“It is a very close family affair. Only friends and relatives will be part of the wedding. It is very likely that you will not see many industry eye-catchers,” said an insider.

Athiya Shetty, daughter of Bollywood veteran Suniel and Mana Shetty, made her debut in the 2015 film Hero starring Sooraj Pancholi. She then acted in the comedy film Mubarakan, and recently she appeared in the film Motichoor Chaknachoor alongside Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
