Kristen Stewart’s star ‘Spencer’ trailer has been unveiled and the actress looks like Princess Diana, from her grand outfits to the hairstyle and even the late British royal accent.
In the two-minute, 17-second trailer for ‘Spencer,’ the upcoming biographical drama about the beloved figure, the American actor easily channels the tortured British royal, reports variety.com. Directed by Pablo Larrain, ‘Spencer’ grapples with Diana’s decision to end her marriage to Prince Charles attempted by Jack Farthing. The film isn’t quite true to the facts, but rather is a re-imagination of what could have happened during that fateful holiday period in 1991.
The ‘Spencer’ trailer captures a grim reality for Diana, the Princess of Wales: the glitz and glamor that comes with life at the Queen’s Sandringham Estate is not without close scrutiny. Getting ready for the Christmas festivities, filled with eating and drinking, shooting and hunting, Diana makes sure, “Three days is all.”
Stewart, fashionably dressed in dazzling dresses and pointy suits, is increasingly shattered by emotionally grueling obligations and ruthless paparazzi. At one point in the trailer, her son asks, “Mom, what makes you so sad? Charles later told her, “You have to be able to do things you hate.” “There is no hope for me,” she concludes in the trailer. “Not with them.”
“Spencer,” from Neon and Topic Studios, is set to hit theaters on November 5th.
