Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra on Saturday mocked the BJP, saying it should leave the tandoori chicken alone and think about much serious damage to Gandhi’s ideals.
Her comments come a day after BJP spokesman Shehzad Poonawalla’s claim that protesting MPs in parliament ate chicken in front of Gandhi’s statue.

Four Lok Sabha MPs and 23 Rajya Sabha MPs are suspended for disrupting parliamentary procedures and holding placards. These MPs are a 50-hour protest against the action.
AAP member Sanjay Singh was also suspended from the Senate for a week on Wednesday for unruly behavior and showing total disregard for the chairman.
On Tuesday, 19 opposition members were suspended from the Rajya Sabha for a week for disrupting proceedings in the House.
