Lenovo Launches New ThinkBook Laptops At CES 2021 With Large 16:10 Displays

Lenovo expanded its notebook portfolio with the launch of the ThinkBook 13x i, ThinkBook 14p Gen 2, and ThinkBook 16p Gen 2 at CES 2021. The new ThinkBook laptops are designed for business with a 16:10 wide aspect ratio. Some models of the new series support Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos. In addition to three new models, Lenovo released the ThinkBook Plus Gen 2 i laptop with an E Ink display.

Pricing for the Lenovo ThinkBook 13x i starts at $ 1199 (around Rs. 87,700), while the ThinkBook 14p Gen 2 and ThinkBook 16p Gen 2 have a starting price of $ 849 (around Rs. 62,200) and $ 1299 (around Rs. 62,200) and $ 1,299 (around Rs. 95,000), respectively. The Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 2 i starts at $ 1,549 (around Rs 1,13,300). All four Lenovo ThinkBook models will go on sale from Q1 2021.

Lenovo ThinkBook 13x i Specifications

The Lenovo ThinkBook 13x i features a 13.3-inch (2560 x 1600-pixel) WQXGA IPS display with 400 nits of maximum brightness and Dolby Vision support. The display has a touchscreen mount and is equipped with a 180 degree flat hinge. Under the hood, there’s an option of up to an 11th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, with up to 16GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 1TB M.2 PCIe Gen 4 SSD. The laptop is comes with regular connectivity options that include two Thunderbolt 4 ports, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth v5.0.

Lenovo offered Dolby Atmos support on the ThinkBook 13x i. There is also a 53W battery. The laptop is based on the Intel Evo platform which is intended for thin but powerful Windows machines. The ThinkBook 13x i is available in Cloud Gray and Storm Gray color options. Its laptop comes with a slim 12.9mm chassis and weighs less than 1.2 kilograms.

Lenovo ThinkBook 14p Gen 2 Specifications

Unlike the ThinkBook 13x i, the Lenovo ThinkBook 14p Gen 2 is based on the latest AMD Ryzen mobile processors (with up to AMD Ryzen 9 5000 H Series). The laptop is paired with up to 32 GB of DDR4 RAM and up to 1 TB of PCIe SSD. It has a 2.8K OLED display up to 14 inches with 300 nits of maximum brightness and VESA DisplayHDR True Black standard. In terms of connectivity, the laptop includes USB Type-C, HDMI 2.0, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth v5.0.

Lenovo ThinkBook 14p Gen 2 is based on the latest AMD Ryzen mobile processors

The Lenovo ThinkBook 14p Gen 2 is 16.9mm thick and weighs less than 1.4 kilograms. The laptop also includes a fingerprint reader and infrared camera as well as support for Windows Hello.

Lenovo ThinkBook 16p Gen 2 Specifications

The Lenovo ThinkBook 16p Gen 2 comes with a 16-inch 2.5K IPS display. It’s also powered by the latest AMD Ryzen mobile processors, as well as the next-gen Nvidia GeForce RTX discrete graphics. The laptop can also be configured with a pre-calibrated screen with X-Rite Pantone certification. The laptop is 19.9mm thick and weighs 2 kilograms.

Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 2 i Specifications

The Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 2 i is quite similar to the ThinkBook 13 xi, although it has a 12-inch (2560×1600 pixels) E-Ink WQXGA secondary display that supports touch input, as well as a WQXGA primary display. 13.3 inch IPS. display with a screen-to-body ratio of 90%. The laptop comes with a new e-Ink user interface (UI). It’s a successor to the Lenovo ThinkBook Plus which launched at CES 2020 and debuted in India in September of last year.

Other key specs for the ThinkBook Plus Gen 2 i include an 11th Generation Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 1TB M.2 PCIe Gen4 SSD. The laptop measures 13.9mm d thickness and weighs less than 1.3 kilograms.
