Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha will have no visitors during the winter session of parliament which begins on November 29, sources said on Thursday.
Visitor galleries in both homes will be closed during the next session due to the current Covid situation and restrictions imposed.
The heads of the two secretariats wrote about the unavailability of the galleries for visitors during the next session.
The sources said that due to the Covid protocol in effect during the session, MPs will be forced to sit in the galleries intended for visitors in both homes.
The seating arrangements for Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha members were staggered in the Chamber and the stands, according to an official circular.
“No visitor will be allowed to attend House debates during the session and no public gallery passes will be issued during the session,” the circular said.
The winter session of Parliament will continue until 23 December.
