Madhubala’s sister takes legal action against creators developing biopic about Mughal-E-Azam star

The life of legendary star Madhubala has inspired a few filmmakers to adapt it for a cinematic experience. However, the late star’s youngest sister, Madhur Brij Bhushan, has asked the makers not to work on such a film, as she is already in talks with producers for the official adaptation.

According to Pinkvilla’s report, Madhur added that if someone tries to go ahead with another film, the person will have to take strict legal action. “I request that no one should attempt any kind of project – based on or inspired by Madhubala – without my approval. Please don’t ruin this moment for us… If people don’t heed my requests, I have no option but to take severe legal action and sue them for violating my family’s rights and for such emotional and mental harassment. All those people involved in such a project will be taken to court. I am a fighter and will fight out that way too,” claimed Bhushan.

The sister of Mughal-E-Azam’s star added that she and her family have been harassed for retaining the rights to the Madhubala biopic. Madhur has sincerely requested that the adjustment of Madhubala’s life be stopped, “Humne kya galat kiya hai? It is (Madhubala’s life story) the emotional and legal right of my family. At this age, my sisters and I are harassed – mentally and emotionally, by some people. Kya yeh sahi hai? It is a request from my side to anyone who intends (by modifying Madhubala’s life) not to go ahead with such plans. There are many other subjects and personalities about whom wonderful films can be made,” Madhur said.
