Mamata Banerjee accuses BJP of spreading misinformation about Narayani Sena

Mathabhanga (West Bengal):

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday accused the BJP of spreading misinformation about the creation of a central Narayani Sena paramilitary force after polls, citing an unverified RTI response by the Center.

Ms Banerjee said key BJP leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, had promised in recent meetings that the Center would raise a Narayani Sena force on the lines of other paramilitary forces in the country.

Narayani Sena’s request has long been a request of the Rajbanshi community in North Bengal.
