SINGAPORE: A 38-year-old man was arrested for his alleged involvement in a serious injury case willfully injured by dangerous means Thursday, January 14.
Police said they were alerted to a case of assault along Bedok North Street 3 at around 8:15 a.m. on Thursday.
The victim was found with multiple injuries and was conscious when taken to hospital.
Police established the man’s identity through field investigations and using CCTV camera footage.
Preliminary inquiries revealed that the man and the victim knew each other.
The man will be indicted in court Friday for willfully causing serious injury by dangerous means.
If found guilty, he can be imprisoned for life or up to 15 years and will be liable to caning. If he is not sentenced to life imprisonment, he is liable to a fine.
