Groom Russell Duance, married at first sight, has just been introduced as a bachelor in search of love in the show’s final season.

And the diesel mechanic immediately got fans into a frenzy with fans immediately comparing him to Victorian MP Dan Andrews.

Twitter erupted with fans comparing him to the controversial Victorian MP, with the two sharing similar looks and shaped glasses.

“Does anyone else think Russel looks like Dan Andrews?” a fan wrote.

Another added: ‘Has Dan Andrews just stepped into the sets at MAFS ?! ”

Russell, 37, is a diesel mechanic currently based in South Australia.

According to his bio Nine he is described as a ‘quintessential Australian larrikin’, with him happy when he ‘drinks a beer and eats a steak’.

Russell also has a spontaneous side to him he previously proposed to a stranger on vacation.

His nine biographical states he proposed to a stranger on vacation in Las Vegas as a joke, she loved the gesture and they started dating.

He went on to say later that they got married, but it only lasted a year.

Married at First Sight kicked off a new season with a whole new group of bride and groom for the series.
