The country’s largest automaker, Maruti Suzuki India (MSI), on Sunday announced special offers for government employees, with perks of up to Rs 11,000 in addition to the festival’s ongoing consumer offers on its models. The company is looking to further stimulate demand with its supply after the recent Leave Travel Concession (LTC) cash voucher program announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
“Employees and their spouses of companies in the public sector, central and state government departments, including police and paramilitary personnel can benefit from these special offers on the purchase of new vehicles from Maruti Suzuki. Discounts will vary from one model to another, ”the company said.
Maruti Suzuki India (MSI), Executive Director (Marketing and Sales), Shashank Srivastava, said: “The government has taken several bold steps to revive consumer spending during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is our collaborative duty to support the economy and spread positive feelings. “
Mr. Srivastava added, “With over 10 million government employees working in various central and state government departments, they are one of Maruti Suzuki’s biggest customer segments. With that in mind, we’ve announced a special program for government employees that will help bring home their favorite cars in addition to benefiting from the LTC cashout. “
Maruti Suzuki India said the recently announced LTC cash voucher program would benefit central government and defense workers nearly 45 lakh. Overall, it is expected to generate additional demand of Rs 28,000 crore by March 31, 2021.
MSI said its government employee program is valid for all of its passenger vehicles, including Alto, Celerio, S-Presso, Wagon-R, Eeco, Swift, Dzire, Ignis, Baleno, Vitara Brezza, Ertiga, XL6 , Ciaz and S-Cross, which are sold by the chains ARENA and NEXA.
