Bridie Carter and Myles Pollard announce new project together – more than a decade after their characters Tess and Nick left fans swooning over McLeod’s daughters

Over 16 years after their last appearance on McLeod’s Daughters, Bridie Carter and Myles Pollard are back together.

The actors, who played Tess McLeod and Nick Ryan on the soap opera, together created a production company called Homeland Entertainment.

Bridie, 49, and Myles, 48, told the Daily Telegraph on Friday that their first project would be the movie A Walk In The Park.

The couple are well aware of how much their characters were loved, with Bridie telling the newspaper that they gave their all to romance.

“It was of course one of the biggest and longest love stories, one of the biggest marriages in the history of Australian television,” said Bridie.

“It was a really deep working relationship. I guess Myles and I have always had the same work ethic.

“We were trained at NIDA so we had amazing discipline – every scene we came to, we always wanted it to be the best it could be,” she said.

The actors, who are great friends, have come together to create a production company, inspired to share “universal stories” during the pandemic.

The actors appeared in the beloved soap opera until 2006 – their characters got married and moved to Argentina.
