“In the night of January 1, 2022, we received a call from paramedics,” recalls medical student Octavio Gómez. “Two men were found seriously injured under a bridge, someone must have beaten them.” The suspicion that they were somehow involved with drug cartels had deadly consequences for one of the two men.
