Sharjah: The Ministry of Health and Community Development announced Thursday that around 50 stations have been set up at the Sharjah Exhibition Center, which has a high turnout from those wishing to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
Haifa Hamad Fares, head of the health programs department at the Ministry of Health and Community Development, said during a visit to the center that all vaccination stations are equipped by the ministry and officials are working to simplify procedures and to facilitate these. wishing to be vaccinated.
Many people at the Expo Center, who received the vaccine, expressed their happiness and said the procedure was well organized and smooth.
Fares said the actual process of administering the vaccine only takes about three to five minutes. Once a person arrives at the vaccination center, they are received by the relevant team and are registered and examined by specialists before the vaccine is administered, with due diligence on all preventive and precautionary measures.
She informed that given the high participation rate, around 27 centers have been established in the emirate through which people can get the vaccine “for free”.
She stressed that the vaccine administration service will be provided on mobile vehicles, especially for the elderly and workers. Home visits will be organized for seniors.
Mohammad Abdullah Al-Zarouni, director of Sharjah medical district, said the exhibition center is one of the most popular sites for those who want to get vaccinated and that there are around 27 centers specializing in administration. vaccine, including all health centers, in addition to the suburbs of Mughaidir and Al Bustan in Al Dhaid and Hayawa in Khor Fakkan, the University of Sharjah, Kalba, and the suburb of Dibba Al-Hisn and the Al Bayt Mitwahid.
