NBA is partnering with Clear Health Pass for COVID-19 testing, according to an NBA report.
“This partnership builds on CLEAR’s history of innovation as it continues to help shape the future of the sport and enhance the fan experience,” the NBA said in a press release.
Health Pass is defined as a “free mobile experience” allowing consumers to access and store secure medical information.
“Trust and transparency is CLEAR’s number one priority, and with Health Pass our goal is to bring people back to what they love while ensuring they are always in control of their health information.” CLEAR CEO Caryn Seidman-Becker said in the league’s PR. .
Soon, vaccinated NBA fans (and employees) will be able to prove their inoculation through the Health Pass.
Many players in the league have already taken the COVID-19 vaccine – but there is still a long way to go to reach a majority vaccination rate.
Earlier this week, President Joe Biden announced that all American adults would be eligible for the vaccine by April 19.
