Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya announced on Thursday that the National Board of Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) for undergraduate (UG) students for medical admissions will start on January 19.

“Dear students, the counseling for NEET-UG is launched by MCC from January 19th. You are all the future of the country and I hope you all will give a new direction to your careers with the mantra of “service is religion “. I send my best wishes to all,” Mandaviya tweeted in Hindi.

The Medical Advisory Committee (MCC), which leads the advice, has published the NEET UG Advice Schedule.

Here is the consultation schedule:

Registration for Round 1 will begin on January 19 and end on January 24.

According to the schedule, in the first round, the verification of the seat matrix by the institutes will take place on January 17 and 18. Registration and the payment gateway will be open for six days from January 19 to 24.

The choice of fill will be offered to students for five days from January 20-24. Verification of the seat matrix by the institutes will take place on January 25 and 26, the seat allocation process on January 27 and 28, and the results will be published on January 29.

The reporting dates for Round 1 are January 30 through February 4.

During Round 2, the verification of the Seat Matrix by the institutes will take place on February 7 and 8. Registration and the payment gateway will be open for six days from February 9 to 14.

The choice of filling will be offered to students for five days from February 10 to 14. The verification of the seat matrix by the institutes will take place on February 15 and 16, the seat allocation process on February 17 and 18, and the results will be published on February 19.

The reporting dates for Round 2 are February 20-26.

For the MOP-UP Round for All Indian Quotas / Deemed and Central University Seats / PG DNB Seats, the verification of the seat matrix by the institutes will be carried out on February 28th and March 1st.

Registration and the payment gateway will be open for six days from March 2-7.

For the MOP-UP round, the choice of infill will be offered to students for five days from March 3-7. The verification of the seat matrix by the institutes will take place on March 8 and 9, the seat allocation process on March 10 and 11, and the results will be published on March 12.

The reporting dates for this are March 13-19.

  • Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), Lucknow
  • Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore
  • Benares Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi
  • Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER), Pondicherry
  • King George Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow
  • Kasturba Medical College (KMC), Manipal

The exam took place on September 12 and the provisional answer key was published on October 15. About 16 lakh students had turned up for the exam.

Earlier, Mandaviya had announced that the NEET-PG counseling for medical admissions would start from Wednesday.
