Amid new COVID variants and the Center issuing new guidelines for passengers traveling to India, Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) on Monday announced the launch of a revamped Air Suvidha portal and new RT-PCR packages for these passengers. .
When the Air Suvidha portal opens, users now receive important passenger notifications explaining the new protocols. They are also linked to the latest set of government directives.
Under the new guidelines, it is mandatory for all international passengers to complete the Self-Declaration Forms (SDF) available on Air Suvidha and they must download the mandatory RT-PCR tests 72 hours before departure.
A DIAL official said: “The SDF will also help identify passengers from high-risk countries such as the UK, Brazil and South Africa. A new field to declare an indoor connection has been added to the Air Suvidha portal. SOPs for domestic transit passengers and also help improve contact tracing.
SOP for international travelers
All passengers arriving from the UK, Europe and the Middle East must undergo RT-PCR testing upon arrival. The new government procedures are applicable to all inbound passengers from the UK, Brazil and South Africa. The broader categorization was done because there are no direct flights between India, South Africa and Brazil. Most passengers from these countries transit through Europe or the Middle East.
