Noida Metro News: More than 50,000 passengers travel daily on Noida Metro.
The Noida Metro Rail Corporation plans to replace the ticket counters with vending machines. Using these machines, anyone can buy tickets using e-wallet scanners. Until now, no Aqua Line station had a TVM.
As of now, two ticket machines have been installed at Sector 51 and Knowledge Park-2 subway stations.
These machines do not have the option to buy tickets with cash. Passengers would have to use QR codes to pay tokens. They can also charge subway cards. These machines help authorities avoid long queues at the ticket counters.
These machines will also be placed at other metro stations.
On Saturday, when the machines were installed, passengers bought tokens worth Rs 60000.
More than 50,000 passengers travel daily on Noida Metro.
These numbers are expected to grow in the coming years.
Noida Metro authorities changed the metro card rules last month. They said that from January 15, the minimum balance required to access metro stations will be Rs 50. Earlier it was Rs 10.
