Yvette’s book will be called What are the Chances, which refers to her 28-year-old son Chance, whom she shares with Patrick.
“ After writing a memoir for about eight years, it finally feels right. Can’t wait to share with you guys, ” she wrote on Facebook.
Speaking: Well over a decade after Patrick’s shock disappearance, his ex-wife Yvette Nipar (left) has confirmed that she is writing a memoir detailing the 2005 incident – apparently with help from the 72-year-old Grease actress.
Heartbreak: In 2019, Yvette posted a photo of her son Chance as a child with her father Patrick. She captioned the photo: ’14 years ago today I found out that my son’s father was missing. I never could have imagined what it would do to my guts as a mom
The actress, who has appeared on shows such as Melrose Place, 21 Jump Street and CSI Miami, married Patrick in March 1992, the couple divorcing soon after in June 1993 while pregnant with their son.
Two years ago, Yvette posted a photo of her son, Chance, as a child with his father.

None of the 22 passengers saw him go overboard during the trip, and he was only reported missing a week later, when Olivia contacted authorities after he failed to report to a family reunion.
Olivia was in the middle of a promotional tour of Australia when Patrick disappeared from the boat, which is why it took her so long to realize he was missing.
In a 60 minute interview in 2016, Olivia said: ‘He was lost at sea and no one really knows what happened. It’s human to ask yourself, but… you have to accept and let go.
Despite a number of theories claiming otherwise over the years, Yvette herself believes Patrick is dead.
Meanwhile, Olivia remarried in 2008 and is still with her husband John Easterling.
