One of the best computer RPGs ever made is currently for sale on Steam.
Dragon Age: Origins is currently $ 4.99, and the Ultimate Edition – which includes all DLC – is just $ 7.49. The game is on Steam thanks to EA finally waking up to reality and realizing that it could sell a lot more games if it didn’t limit them to its own Origin store.
Dragon Age: Origins was released shortly after the arrival of EA and the acquisition of BioWare – the acquisition took place shortly after the release of the first Mass Effect. Lots of view Dragon Age: Origins and Mass effect 2 like the latest BioWare headlines, however Dragon Age: Inquisition has won numerous game of the year awards. Hopefully BioWare can reclaim some of its former glory with the next installments of both series (and hopefully they drop the ghost on Anthem).
In any case, if you haven’t played Dragon Age: Origins you should definitely pick it up as long as it’s so cheap. Sure, it’s dated and the graphics are a far cry from what we see in games today, but who cares? Graphics are the least important thing when it comes to enjoyable games, and role-playing games in particular. A good story, good choices, interesting characters and so on are much more important. Admittedly, the fight here isn’t anything to write home about either, but it’s still fun.
