Over 103.53 crore of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in India to date

With the administration of 55 89 124 doses of the vaccine in the past 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccine coverage has exceeded 103.53 crore, the Department of Health and Family Welfare reported on Wednesday.

According to provisional reports up to 7:00 am today, 1,033,325,577 doses of vaccine were administered in 1,0295,714 sessions.

Meanwhile, India has reported 13,451 new cases of COVID-19 and 585 deaths in the past 24 hours, bringing the cumulative total to 3,42,15,653.

With that, the number of active cases in the country stands at 1,626,661, which is the lowest in 242 days.

Active cases represent less than 1% of total cases and currently stand at 0.48%, which is the lowest since March 2020.

The country has also reported 14,021 recoveries in the past 24 hours, bringing the country’s recovery rate to 98.19%, the highest since the start of the pandemic.
