Share Market News Today | Sensex, Nifty, LIVE share price: National stock markets started the day’s trading in negative territory. S&P BSE Sensex lost more than 100 points at the opening while the Nifty 50 index was below 14,850. Banking and financial stocks were the laggards on Dalal Street with ICICI Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Bajaj Finance, the best clue lying around. HUL, Power grid, Sun Pharma were the best winners on Sensex. Volatility jumped nearly 3%, helping India VIX move closer to 21 levels. The Bank Nifty and Nifty Private Bank indices fell 1.2% each.
Macrotech Developers’ initial public offering ended on the second day of subscription, with investors bidding for just 35% of the issue. Of these Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs) were the most active bidders, subscribing 65% of their share. Non-Institutional Investors (NII) have so far offered only 19% of their quota, while offers from retail investors are 25%. Macrotech Developers employees have subscribed 10% of the share reserved for them. The company, formerly known as Lodha Developers, is looking to raise Rs 2,500 crore in the market. The shares are priced at Rs 483-486 each. Today will be the last day to bid for the IPO.
