India’s leading telecommunications giant, Bharti Airtel, informed stock exchanges on Tuesday that it had received the relevant approvals for its downstream investments. With this, Bharti Airtel initiated the process of revising its foreign investment limit to 100% with immediate effect. NSDL updated their website while changing Bharti Airtel’s REIT limit to 100%. This is likely to elicit a response from the MSCI, increasing the company’s weighting in global indices.
