Patrick Clark (The Velveteen Dream) from an independent show


Former WWE NXT star Patrick Clark (The Velveteen Dream) was set to make his first non-WWE appearance since his release. Clark was previously announced to appear on Superstars of Wrestling Federation’s Home Sweet show on September 11.

The announcement read: “SWF Wrestling and The Trifecta are pleased to announce that FKA Velveteen Dream will make their first wrestling appearance since leaving WWE live on September 11 at SWF Wrestling’s Home Sweet Home event at the Tom’s River YMCA. “

However, Rob Fury, the owner of the promotion, released a statement noting that due to fan complaints, Dream had been removed from the series.

“Tonight we announced that Velveteen Dream will be attending our Home Sweet Home event. I believe that any man can be slandered and have been through other unrelated but false situations in my life. After careful consideration, Dream was removed.

While many believed he was released due to allegations against him last year where he was accused of having improper contact with minors, it was later reported that the decision was made due to of an incident with a big star of the company.
