Everest Re Hires Nationwide’s Rudow as Global Head of Cyber ​​Reinsurance

Everest Reinsurancethe reinsurance division of Everest Re Group Ltd., announced that: Catherine Rudow will join the company as global head of Cyber ​​Reinsurance, reporting to: Jill begshead of North America Reinsurance.

In this newly created role, Rudow will be responsible for managing Everest’s cyber reinsurance business and driving consistent best practices and guidelines for underwriting across the division worldwide. She will also focus on cultivating both new and existing relationships with brokers and clients and work to build tailor-made reinsurance solutions that keep pace with the changing cyber risk landscape.

Rudow brings deep reinsurance and cyber-insurance experience and expertise in managing portfolios of cyber activities, developing and executing cyber-specific strategies, and establishing industry-wide connections. Most recently, she was vice president for Nationwide E&S, where she executed a cyber strategy for Nationwide Enterprise, resulting in portfolio diversification and product expansion. Before that, she held several leadership positions at Partner Reinsurance Co. from the USA

Rudow has a Masters of Business Administration from Yale University and an undergraduate degree from Concordia University.

BMS Re Appoints McDowell CEO of Bermuda, Binetti Head of Casualty Treaty

BMS Rethe London-based specialist reinsurance broker, announced the appointment of: Chris McDowell as CEO of BMS Re Bermuda, effective November 26, 2022, upon completion of his notice period and any required regulatory approvals. Mario Binetti also joins as head of accident convention and actuarial for BMS Re Bermuda, effective immediately. McDowell and Binetti will both be based in Bermuda.

McDowell has a long and distinguished career spanning over 30 years in reinsurance, operating at the highest levels. He joins BMS Re from his most recent role as CEO of Gallagher Re Bermuda (formerly Willis Re Bermuda). Prior to that, McDowell worked at Aon Benfield, where he was CEO of Global Re Specialty in Bermuda.

Binetti, with over 30 years experience in reinsurance, comes from Everest Re Bermuda where he was head of insurance and accident treaty actuarial practice. Before that, he was senior vice president and chief actuary at JRG Re in Bermuda.
