PHILADELPHIA (TBEN) – A pleasant and quiet Sunday is on the agenda for the Philadelphia area – and plenty of sun will be on the horizon before another winter mix on Monday. The highs will be in the mid-30s on Sunday.
While it will remain cold across the region, Saturday’s gusty winds will ease.

Clouds will increase in the area on Sunday evening with troughs falling in the mid-1920s or less.
Monday will be another active winter day.
A system will move and snow will be possible from the second half of the morning.
The snow will be heaviest north and west of Philadelphia.
In Philadelphia, the morning snow will eventually mix with the rain and the mixture of rain and snow will be the main form of precipitation in the late morning and early afternoon.
This rapid system will end through the Delaware Valley in the evening and during the early hours of the night as well.

A period of full rain will be possible on I-95 before the precipitation ends completely.
Overall, the snowfall amounts will be quite low.
2-inch siding will be possible in Philadelphia and the immediate suburbs of Pennsylvania.
Going further north 2-4 inches will be possible in parts of the Lehigh Valley and in the Poconos.
After the messy Monday, the rest of the work week seems rather calm with temperatures heating up nicely.
Tuesday should be in the mid-1940s even before 50’s is possible on Wednesday.

A weak cold front could bring a few drops of rain to the area early Thursday and temperatures will remain seasonally warm in the 1940s through the end of the week.
