Pokémon Squishmallows have arrived, time to hug Pikachu

The Squishmallow versions of Pikachu and Gengar are ready to settle into your home.

The Pokémon Squishmallow collaboration will be available for purchase in the United States starting Tuesday. Those interested have two options: Pikachu or Gengar. Each costs $29.99, is twelve inches in size, and can be purchased from the Pokémon Center website.

At the time of publication, the toys are already sold out. Polygon has reached out to a Pokémon Center representative about plans to restock and will update the article as soon as we hear back.

Although Pokémon Center has sold many squishy and cuddly Pokémon in the past, these two will be the first official Pokémon Squishmallows to be released. The Pokémon Company and Jazwares first teased the new toys San Diego Comic Con. At the time, scammers could only appreciate the round, chubby beauty of the Squishmallows displayed in a glass case. Now fans can hug and squeeze the toy themselves.

The official Pokémon account on TikTok gave us a look at the plushies in action before they were released. The video shows the round and chubby Pokémon being dropped on a couch and then bouncing in slow motion.

Overall, it looks like those who buy them will get some good hugs from a super soft Pokémon.
