Private schools that implement the British curriculum decided to close early tomorrow, Monday, in honor of Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral, and schools informed students’ parents that their children could be absent on that day in case they did not fit the new date for the end of the school day.
In detail, private schools sent letters to students’ families, indicating that on Thursday, September 8, Queen Elizabeth II passed away, and as a sign of our respect and with the approval of the responsible educational authorities, the school will be closed early at 11.45 am on Monday, September 19, due to the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.
The letter received by the students’ families stated that on this day, Monday, September 19, Friday appointments will apply and all students must be received at 11.45 am. School buses will also follow the Friday schedule. So whoever wants to keep his children at home today, this will not affect their attendance rates.
