The American medical establishment is touting its turn toward race-based, social justice-focused health care.

A report from the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) – the leading organization for medical schools, teaching hospitals and scientific studies – shows the expansion of race-based ideologies in medical practice.

The report, titled “The Power of Collective Action: Assessing and Advancing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Efforts at AAMC Medical Schools,” outlined schools’ self-checks regarding the level to which they pushed the political agenda in aspects of their positions.

Of the 101 medical schools in the report, 43 percent have “promotional and tenure policies that specifically reward faculty scholarships and services in DEI subjects.”

In addition, “75 percent advocate for policy and/or legislation at the local, state, or federal level related to the mission of diversity, inclusion, and equality,” while 85 percent of schools have spent money on rebranding to increase their focus on better reflect social justice .

One hundred percent of schools have “holistic” admissions policies — affirmative action — and 85 percent of “senior leaders”[ing] demographic data to promote change within the institution/school.”

Relatedly, 67 percent of schools “require departments/units to assemble a diverse pool of candidates for faculty positions.”

The AAMC keeps track of the schools whether they capitulate to its racial worldview. It also encourages schools to meet the targets 100 percent.

In response to the report, Dr. Stanley Goldfarb, president of the medical watchdog, told Breitbart News: “The AAMC has made it clear that they value diversity and the elements of critical race theory, including the assumption that any gaps in educational attainment or differences in health outcomes are the result of minority oppression.”

“The public can now see how misleading the leadership of American medical education has become,” he continued. “Merit and total dedication to caring for patients as individuals has given way to a focus on social justice, group identity, and physician workforce diversity. This emphasis poses a real risk to the American people.”

As Breitbart News reported, nearly every level of the US medical establishment is involved in pushing for racial preferences in medical practice.

It is mandated by the most powerful parts of the federal government, with a day one executive order from President Joe Biden to drive “health equity” in its own healthcare capacity and encourage doctors, hospitals and schools through monetary incentives to join the fray. also go into practice.

The AAMC is instrumental in making the practice a prerequisite for becoming a doctor as well, releasing new standards for teaching medicine that require students to attain “competences” in “white privilege,” “anti-colonialism.” and “race as a social construct,” among other race-essentialist ideas.

“I want to congratulate those schools that have resisted DEI activities in recruiting and promoting teachers,” said Goldfarb. “I would also like to point out how distressing it is that so many schools have made diversity rather than excellence the criteria for developing medical school classes.”
