Yuzvendra Chahal took to Instagram to share a photo of himself relaxing after training in Sydney, where he is currently in quarantine with the rest of the Indian cricket team ahead of their tour of Australia. His leg-spinner mate Rashid Khan commented on his photo and asked him “Bhai Kya soch rahe ho (Bro, what do you think?)”. To this, Chahal has found the perfect answer. “Ki kab yeh is quarantining khatam hoga (that’s when this quarantine ends),” he wrote, with laughing emojis.
The Indian team arrived in Sydney after the conclusion of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 in the United Arab Emirates, in which Rashid Khan also participated.
Chahal and Rashid were the two biggest wicket takers among spinners in IPL 2020. Chahal took 21 wickets, while Rashid claimed 20 scalps.
Rashid’s SunRisers Hyderabad eliminated Chahal’s Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Eliminator tournament, but lost to the Delhi Capitals in Qualifier 2.
Chahal recently shared photos of Sydney with teammates Kuldeep Yadav and Rishabh Pant.
Chahal is expected to play a key role in the limited portion of the tour.
India will begin their Down Under tour with a three-match ODI series. The 50 plus competition will be followed by a series of three T20 International (T20I) matches. The tour will conclude with the four-game test series.
