Realme GT 5G set to launch in India next month


The launch of Realme GT 5G India in May was mentioned by a company executive. In a new QnA, Realme India Marketing Director Francis Wong confirmed that the company will launch a flagship phone to mark Realme’s third anniversary in the country. While Wong didn’t explicitly mention the name of the flagship, it’s likely Realme GT 5G. Realme started operations in the Indian market in May 2018 and as a result the flagship product is expected to launch in the country in May of this year. Realme GT 5G launched in China last month and comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC and a 120Hz display.

Wong, in a QnA posted to the Realme forums, answered a bunch of questions to help Realme fans get to know the executive better. When asked who his daily driver is, Wong said he couldn’t reveal the name of the phone, but added that it is a flagship that will be launched on Realme’s third anniversary. “I wish I could tell you the device I use, this is our next flagship and it will be launched as part of our 3rd anniversary celebration. Just wait, ”Wong said.

Realme recently introduced its new flagship, the Realme GT 5G, in China last month. It is expected that Realme will bring this model to the Indian market soon. Wong may be testing it for compatibility and network performance in the Indian market until the phone is ready to debut.

Realme GT 5G is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC and has high-end specs such as a 120Hz display and triple rear camera setup with a 64-megapixel main sensor. The Realme GT 5G also packs a 4500mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging. It is also said to offer a 360Hz touch sample rate and has an in-line touch engine. plus a new GT mode for gamers. The price of the Realme GT 5G in China starts at CNY 2,799 (around Rs 31,400) and is expected to be offered in the same range in the Indian market.
