During his interview on Chris Van Vliet’s “INSIGHT” podcast, Ric Flair was asked to share his thoughts on Vince McMahon resigning from WWE:
“I wasn’t happy about it at all. I love Vince McMahon. I don’t know what he’s doing now. But I have a feeling he’s going to have a hard time. He’ll adapt, of course. But he loved the “He’s got us all made who we are, from Hulk to everyone. I don’t care what anyone thinks. He made us and I have nothing but respect for him.”
The only advice he’ll remember Vince gave him:
“He told me to get my shit right because I was pretty wild, as people know very well, and I can be remembered for two things. I could either be the greatest wrestler of all time, or I could be a man who ruined it. You you know, getting married too often and he was with me through it all.”

On how Flair wants to be remembered:
“Well, if I can pull this off (his retirement contest), I’ll have to be remembered as the greatest of all time.”
