Chogo noted that while President Ruto was at the British embassy, ​​an area considered highly secure, there are underlying reasons why the military officer should step out in front of him.

“The security of the president as VVIP remains crucial. We cannot assume that because the threat level is low, the president can overlook the duty of the ADC,” the expert explained.

In addition, he explained that a security team will initially be sent to determine the security of the destination a president wants to visit.

Ruto was received by the British Ambassador to Kenya, Jane Marriott, and signed the book of condolence for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2022.

“On behalf of the people and government of Kenya, we sympathize with the people of the United Kingdom, especially the family of Queen Elizabeth II. We also congratulate the new British King, Charles III,” the president said.

He urged the king to carry out the queen’s duties, including ensuring that Commonwealth member states under his rule continue to prosper.
