SA20: Magala is Sunrisers Eastern Cape’s most impressive bowler, says Venkatapathy Raju

Aiden Markram played the role of captain to perfection as his all-round contribution helped Sunrisers Eastern Cape beat MI Cape Town by four wickets for their first win of SA20. South African Sisanda Magala was the Eastern Cape’s most impressive bowler, returning with figures of 2 for 22 in 4 overs. Apart from winning half a century, skipper Markram also took two important wickets, including the very dangerous Dewald Brevis.

The Sunrisers Eastern Cape bowlers had a very poor showing for this game and Viacom18 Sports pundit Venkatapathy Raju felt they were not good enough. Speaking on Match Center Live, Raju said: “Sunrisers bowling has been disappointing this season. But we know that this is the first season and it takes time to settle down. At the same time, points are also important.”

However, Raju praised Magala’s performance. “Magala has been the most impressive bowler. He improved every game. He is taking wickets at a good economic rate,” said Raju.
