Samsung Galaxy S21 series launch: when and where to watch in India, know the other details


South Korean tech giant Samsung is set to launch its latest flagship Galaxy S21 series devices, along with pro Buds and a SmartTag.

Samsung to announce its next line of flagship phones? S21, S21 Plus and S21 Ultra, at a worldwide event on Thursday.

The company will also launch new True Wireless Earphones (TWS) called Galaxy Buds Pro, as well as a Tile-like object tracker, the Galaxy SmartTag.

The company is expected to announce the prices for India at the global event itself.

According to industry sources, the S21 could be equipped with a 6.2-inch screen, the S21 Plus with a 6.7-inch screen, and the S21 Ultra with a 6.8-inch panel.

The top-of-the-line S21 Ultra is likely to support the S-Pen stylus that was used for the Galaxy Note phablets.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 camera module is said to feature 10MP 10X super telephoto zoom, 108MP primary lens, 12MP ultra-wide, and 10MP 3X telephoto lens.

The Galaxy S21 Ultra could feature a laser autofocus system that would replace the time of flight (ToF) sensor found in its predecessor.

When and where to watch Samsung Unpacked 2021 live?

Live streaming of the Galaxy Unpacked 2021 event is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. IST. Samsung offers Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus, Galaxy S21 Ultra smartphones as well as Buds pro and a SmartTag.

When it comes to how to watch the Galaxy Unpacked 2021 live stream event, be aware that Samsung will virtually host the Galaxy Unpacked 2021 to officially launch the Galaxy S21 series.

The Galaxy Unpacked 2021 live stream event will take place on the company’s website and Facebook page from 8:00 p.m. in India, while the global launch kicks off at 8:30 p.m. It can be streamed live via the Samsung Global and Samsung India YouTube channels. And for the first time, the event will be broadcast live via Samsung India’s YouTube channel half an hour before the global channel.

In addition, it will also launch the Galaxy Buds Pro and SmartTag.

The upcoming Galaxy Buds Pro was recently spotted on Samsung Canada’s website with the model number SM-R190 which was already part of the reports pointing to the existence of the new Galaxy Buds series earpiece.

TWS will pack a sizable 472mAh battery, which could very well be the battery capacity of the TWS case, as the individual headphones are unlikely to have such a large battery capacity.

Galaxy Buds Pro should have an in-channel fit unlike bean-shaped Galaxy Buds Live. There will also be active noise cancellation (ANC), along with other features like gesture controls, app support, and support for the upgradeable Bluetooth codec.

Additionally, the tech giant is expected to announce a new Tile-like device to track lost items like its own devices.

The “Galaxy SmartTag” would use Bluetooth to connect to nearby devices and broadcast its location.
