Share Market News Today | Sensex, Nifty, LIVE share price: The benchmark stock indexes started trading with gains on Thursday morning. S&P BSE Sensex broke through the 50,000 mark to hit intra-day highs while Nifty was above 14,900 – a crucial resistance area. Bajaj Finserv, Tech Mahindra and HDFC were the top winners on Sensex. Bajaj Auto, ONGC and Nestlé India were the only Sensex stocks trading in the red. Larger markets were in line with benchmarks, while India’s VIX fell. Among the sector indices, Nifty Metal was the first winner. Bank Nifty was also in the green.
Macrotech Developers Limited’s IPO was 26% underwritten on the first day of the bidding process. So far, retail investors have bid for 15% of their quota while non-institutional investors have bid for only 11% of their quota. Qualified institutional buyers were the most active for the IPO, bidding for 58% of their share. While the employees of the firm remained distant with only 4% of offers. Marctotech Developers is looking to raise Rs 2,500 crore from the market through the issue which is priced at Rs 483-486 each. Macrotech Developers, formerly known as Lodha Developers, is one of the largest real estate developers in India.
