The Sharjah Charity Association continues to implement its seasonal campaign “Warm Winter” in 9 countries, in cooperation with the concerned authorities in the beneficiary countries and through the association’s regional offices in Asia and Africa.
Muhammad Abdul Rahman Al Ali, Director of Projects and External Aid Department, said that the Warm Winter Campaign is one of the forms of seasonal aid through which the association intensifies its efforts by supporting philanthropists to provide means of heating for the poor and needy around the world, as the association’s delegations tour the targeted areas based on the field study conducted by the association’s offices. And then distributing tools and means that help the beneficiaries to feel warm, pointing to taking into account the provision of these means in accordance with what is in force in each country so that the beneficiaries can benefit from this aid. The campaign packages have been filled and run and are being distributed in Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Bosnia. Montenegro, Bangladesh, Nepal, Jordan and Mauritania, in addition to the Arab Republic of Egypt. About 3,839 families are scheduled to benefit from the campaign.
Al Ali explained that the campaign’s aid includes heating tools represented in winter clothes, as well as heavy blankets, coal and firewood, according to the needs of each region for the appropriate means they are accustomed to. He pointed out that the campaign embodies one of the fundamental goals of foreign aid implemented by the association and enhances the values of support and solidarity. Supporting others and continuous work to support the needy, empower them and provide the basic needs for a safe living.
