Shikhar Dhawan, who is in Mumbai for the current Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, took to Instagram to share a photo with Yuzvendra Chahal. In the photo, Dhawan can be seen holding Chahal in his arms. “How’s that for spin @ yuzi_chahal23?” Dhawan captioned the post on Instagram. Shortly after the southpaw posted the photo, fans, awestruck by the duo’s camaraderie, flooded the comments section. Dhawan and Chahal currently represent Delhi and Haryana respectively at the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
Dhawan in his first game of the year, scored 23 points from 23 deliveries against Mumbai as he led Delhi to a comfortable 76-point victory in the T20 domestic competition at Wankhede Stadium.
On the flip side, Chahal picked up two wickets to help Haryana narrow Andhra to a paltry 107 for the loss of six wickets. Haryana chased the target with six wickets in hand and more than four overs in reserve.
Both Chahal and Dhawan have been on the limited portion of the ongoing Australia tour of India.
India lost the One-Day International (ODI) three-game series 2-1. However, the visitors turned things around in the Twenty20 International series by claiming it 2-1.
Chahal, who took over from Ravindra Jadeja in the first T20I, propelled the visitors to victory in Canberra.
Dhawan scored 120 points at an average of 40 in ODI while in the game’s shortest format, he smashed 81 points at a hit rate of over 128.
