Singtel launches 5G-compatible prepaid and GOMO SIM-only plans

Singtel is bringing its 5G network to more consumers, opening its 5G network beyond typical postpaid users.

As of today (August 5, 2022), Singtel now offers its 5G connectivity to its prepaid and GOMO customers (one of the Singtel-backed MVNOs).

To celebrate this milestone, customers who sign up for the new Singtel Prepaid or GOMO 5G plans in August 2022 can get S$57 off the Xiaomi Redmi 10 5G handset, which joins the other Redmi 10 5G promotions here. .

Customers can go to authorized Singtel prepaid retailers, Singtel Shops or the Singtel hi!App (iOS, Android) to get the new Prepaid 5G Ultimate Subscription.

The plan that costs €40, gives users 150 GB of 5G data, 5,000 minutes of local talk time, 500 local text messages, and 2,000 minutes of International Direct Dialing (IDD). In addition, users of this 5G subscription get free access to select entertainment channels on Singtel CAST (details in the image above).

The first 10,000 customers who sign up for the Prepaid 5G Ultimate Plan can enjoy free data usage on “popular social media apps” (Facebook, WhatsApp, WeChat, LINE).

Single GOMO 5G

For users who love MVNOs and the flexibility of SIM only plans, there’s the new GOMO 5G subscription.

In front of € 30,-, the plan offers 60 GB of 5G data, 1,000 minutes of talk time, and 1,000 local text messages. In addition, up to 100 GB of unused data, talk time and local SMS can be carried forward to the next month.

From now (August 5) to August 31, 2022, the plan goes for a promotional price of S$25, with an additional 40GB of 5G data for the first month. The promotional fee will apply after the first month, meaning the S$30 plan will cost you S$25 if you sign up within the promotional month of August 2022.

And if you’re not sure whether you need 5G speeds, GOMO users can try it for free. However, keep in mind that you will need a 5G compatible handset.
