Sonos introduces the Sub Mini in Singapore
The Sonos Sub MiniLeaked as early as May this year, it is finally official and ready for both the global market and Singapore.
Sub Mini is the compact version (30.5 x 23 cm) of the larger, floorstanding Sonos Sub special subwoofer, hence the name. The Sub Mini still gives you dual 6-inch force-cancelling drivers that face inwards (towards each other) and also comes with Class-D digital amplifiers tuned to the unique acoustic architecture.
It is designed for Sonos’ ever-expanding range of compact audio equipment, such as the Sonos Ray and Sonos Beam soundbars. Adding the Sonos Sub Mini the size of a 6.35kg flower pot rounds out the bass coverage while maintaining the compact size. If you want to add a little oomph to bedroom audio, the Sub Mini can also be paired with the Sonos One and Sonos One SL smart speakers.
Setting up and using the Sonos Sub Mini should be simple. There’s a “join” button on the unit to set up with other Sonos gear, and Wi-Fi connectivity to any 802.11a/b/g/n router that is broadcast-enabled. LAN-loving people can also use the 10/100 Ethernet port for the router’s wiring.
Most of the Sub Mini’s controls are tucked away in the Sonos app, so you’ll need those to adjust details like bass, loudness, and equalizers. If you’re using iOS, Sonos also gives you access to TruePlay acoustic fine-tuning on the Sub Mini.
The Sonos Submini officially begins retailing on October 6, 2022 in Singapore, at an official price of € 869,-. Pre-orders are available at the distributor’s official webshop in Singapore and at Sonos’ flagship store at The Adelphi.
