“Sorry if I disturb people,” says Priti Patel after bullying probe

UK Home Secretary Priti Patel said on Friday she was sorry for upsetting people after an investigation into allegations of bullying.

“I am sorry that my behavior in the past has upset people. I never intended to disturb anyone,” Patel said in a statement.

“I am very grateful for the hard work of thousands of public servants who are helping to deliver the government’s agenda.”

Ms Patel thanked Prime Minister Boris Johnson for his support after ruling that she had not broken the ministerial code.


“I admit that I am direct and that I get frustrated at times,” she said. “I would like to thank the Prime Minister for his support.”
