WWE did a series of TV shoots for the NXT brand on Wednesday night, where they shot the September 20 and 27 episodes.
On next week’s episode, JD McDonagh defeated Tyler Bate in a fight from a No. 1 contender. After the match, Ilya Dragunov came out to stare with McDonagh and NXT Champion Bron Breakker.
The September 27 episode features a promo exchange featuring all three stars. Dragunov wanted a title match, but McDonagh disagreed as he is the No. 1 contender. Breakker came out and McDonagh suggested a match between Dragunov and Breakker, with the winner earning the right to defend the title against him.
Breakker threw the challenge of a triple threat match title on the line at Halloween Havoc, with both stars taking the challenge.
