‘Stranger Things’ Season 4 Final Viewership Reaches ‘Squid Game’ Record in Less Than 300 Million Hours

Weird stuff added a few more tens of millions of viewing hours to season 4 in the past week. The final viewership for the new season (Vol.1 and Vol.2 combined) is 1.352 billion hours in its first 28 days of release. That’s the most for any English-language series on Netflix, and more than twice as many hours of views logged by the second most popular season of an English-language series on the streamer, Bridgerton 2 (656M).

After the first few weeks of release of Weird stuff 4 Vol.1 it became clear that squid game‘s record of 1,650 billion hours viewed in the first 28 days is untouchable. Weird stuff 4 was the closest anyone could have ever achieved, within 298 million hours of the Korean drama phenomenon counting.

For the week of July 25, romantic drama Virgin River held the top spot among the English-language series in its first full week of release with 87.9 million hours viewed.

Another Korean outbreak, Extraordinary Attorney Woo, was back to #1 on the non-English side with 65.5 million hours for the week; the series is #1 in three of the four weeks so far.
