DUXBURY (TBEN) – The Foley family of Duxbury are living a nightmare that no one wants. “Parker was a shining star in our lives,” said his mother Melissa Foley. “He had a wonderful personality.”
Parker Foley’s parents accuse Duxbury gym teacher John Blake of raping their son in 2006 while Parker was in college there. “The focus is really on Parker. What happened to Parker when he was in college, how did it happen? Said Joe Foley, Parker’s father. “It started with inappropriate touching, and you know, it ended with violent rape.”

But Parker didn’t say anything for years. When he died of an accidental overdose last fall, his parents found his diary, which accused John Blake of rape.
“John Blake, in raping Parker, absolutely crushed his heart,” Joe Foley said.

John Blake, who is also Duxbury High School’s hockey coach on Tuesday, completely denied the charges. “Over the past 25 years, I have proudly taught and coached thousands of students and athletes, with respect and professionalism,” he said.

Blake’s defense attorney Kevin Reddington gave him a polygraph test, which he would have passed with flying colors. “That says it all,” Reddington said, pointing to the report.

Although Blake has been suspended from Duxbury schools, no criminal charges have been laid.
